2016 was one hell of a year for mobile. From geofencing to rich push, waterproof iPhone 7s to exploding Galaxy Note 7s, there was no shortage of excitement, and the same goes for mobile marketing. We started the year off amidst a mobile engagement crisis, but I'm happy to report that we've turned a corner as we head into 2017. A lot of our peers are doing mobile marketing right.
As someone who has all of her notifications turned on, I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to see the pendelum swing in favor of targeted, personalized messaging. I don't dread seeing notifications come thorugh to me anymore, because more often than not, the message adds values.
