Do you remember the first cellphone you ever owned? Mine was the infamous Nokia one that had the Snake game on it which for the record; I dominated at. And then of course who could forget when flip phones made their debut and every person had to have a Motorola Razr?
Each year or so in the early 2000's, it seemed like mobile industry was completely revolutionized. From color phones to camera functionality, to the game-changing introduction of Blackberry; there's no question mobile grew up fast. It seemed almost incomprehensible for it to advance much further.
And then Steve Jobs happened. While we didn't know it at the time, with the launch of the iPhone in 2007 and the App Store the following year, the world as we knew it changed forever. Fast forward to 2016 and we rely on mobile apps to get us through our day-to-day. People access information via mobile more than any other device. Mobile content consumption is skyrocketing. Voice activated apps and bots are hitting the market.
With 2017 right around the corner, let's have a fun look back at the evolution of mobile to see just how far its come in its 33 years young:
