Localytics Strengthens Executive Team with New COO and VP Customer Success

Coming on the heels of a record-breaking year for our company, I’m excited to announce two new executive management hires: Duncan McCallum as chief operating officer and Dave Witting as vice president of customer success. Both Duncan and Dave bring deep experience, strong leadership skills and a passion for building technology companies to Localytics.

Duncan will be responsible for the business operations and financial performance of Localytics and will lead our sales, marketing, customer success and finance organizations. He’s no stranger to us – he’s been a board member since 2010.

Duncan has 20 years of experience building, leading and financing technology companies. Previously, he was CEO and co-founder of both VeloBit, an SSD-caching software vendor that was sold to HGST, and Cilk Arts, a multicore software vendor that was acquired by Intel. He also spent a decade working in venture capital as a general partner at Bessemer Venture Partners and Flagship Ventures. Duncan has been an early investor and board member in 17 early-stage companies that have produced 12 acquisitions and an aggregate market capitalization in excess of $1.5 billion to date. His investments include several successful companies in marketing technology and services.

Equally impressive is Dave, who will be leading our Customer Success organization, including account management, technical services and customer support. Dave has a rich background with 20 years of experience in software, media, and marketing technology. Before joining us, he was vice president, global customer success for Brightcove. He grew its customer success efforts from a small team of consultants to a highly regarded global organization that managed the entire client portfolio, including the account management, customer support and customer success teams. Prior to Brightcove, Dave worked as a marketing manager for Microsoft and Groove Networks and as a producer for Hasbro Interactive, Fox Kids Worldwide, DreamWorks SKG and Walt Disney Animation.

Feel free to check out more about him at his LinkedIn page.

I’m looking forward to all their contributions and know that they will make lasting positive impressions on our growing company.
